Research Assistant Professor – Infectious Diseases and Global Health

The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Infectious Diseases and Global Health, is searching for a Research Assistant Professor who will contribute to research projects as part of the Chicago Center for HIV Elimination.  The appointee’s primary activity will be to conduct academic research in association with a faculty member or team.  The appointee will complement existing areas of strength and contribute to project conception and execution.  We especially welcome applicants with expertise in any of these areas: implementation science, pragmatic trial design, advanced biostatistics and computational modeling.  Areas of interest include public health and socio-behavioral interventions for HIV, viral hepatitis, and/or substance use disorder, and the understanding of these processes in the context of the underlying risk environment, including criminal legal and other policy contexts. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

Applicants must have: 1) a doctoral degree or equivalent in public health, social sciences, statistics or biostatistics, biological sciences or related disciplines, and 2) completed postdoctoral training prior to the start of employment.
