YOUR ROLE
  • Create a market overview about battery disassembly processes and related material requirements as well as a gap analysis
  • Work together with internal experts & external partners on new battery system designs for automotive understanding the battery disassembly challenges
  • Prepare an assembly & disassembly strategy as well as predicting material needs to simplify second life transformation and battery recycling
  • Develop a product roadmap incl. preparation of product specifications in cross functional teams creating sustainable solutions for the end-of-life disassembly of batteries
  • Establish industry network & be a thought leader for Henkel in battery recycling
  • Drive scouting for the expansion of existing product portfolio
YOUR SKILLS
  • Master or PhD in Material Science, Physics, Process engineering or similar
  • Profound knowledge in the area of battery recycling processes as well as converting batteries for second life use
  • Strong technical expert with several years of industry and/or research experience in battery assembly & disassembly processes
  • Broad knowledge of current state of the art battery designs, materials, cell performance, cost and trends in research & development
  • Ability to take the initiative and high degree of flexibility
  • Above-average team spirit and enjoyment in an agile working environment
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex contexts in detail and to communicate in a way that is appropriate for the target audience
  • Fluent English language skills, German would be a plus
