Assistant Professor Cell Biology
The Department of Biological Sciences, University of New Orleans invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR.
We seek a Cell Biologist whose research is integrative in nature and addresses fundamental processes in microbes, plants, or animals. Successful candidates should have a research program that complements that of current faculty and contributes to our Integrative Biology PhD program.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and at least two years of relevant postdoctoral experience in any field of cell biology. Applicants with teaching experience and evidence of securing external grant support are preferred. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an extramurally funded research program, direct graduate students, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, which may include lecture and lab courses in Cell Biology and Molecular Biology.
