FACULTY POSITION – VIROLOGY
The Department of Microbiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking new faculty members in virology at the Assistant Professor (tenure track) level via a multi-year rolling search. The appointee will be expected to develop a front-rank, competitive, independent research program on a medically relevant viral pathogen(s). Some preference may be given to candidates working on emerging/re-emerging viruses or those that represent global threats. Candidates also will be considered for UT Southwestern’s $2.15M Endowed Scholars (start-up) Program Candidates should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with 3+ years of postdoctoral experience and an exceptional publication record.
