Position Summary

The Department of Systems Biology is seeking a highly motivated post-baccalaureate Research Associate I to join a cancer research lab in hematological malignancy. Under the direct supervision of the Principal Investigator, or designee, the Research Associate I performs a variety of routine and increasingly complex research experiments.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Performs daily experimental activities and maintains general lab functions.
  • Adheres to all laboratory safety protocols.
  • Orders and maintains laboratory equipment, reagents and supplies.
  • Maintains mouse colonies by genotyping and data entry.
  • Conducts animal imaging procedures.
  • Perform SDS-PAGE, molecular cloning, bacterial culture and mammalian cell culture works.


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in biological or life sciences.
  • 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.
  • Have significant interest in cancer research and prior laboratory experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skill and a willingness to learn and employ new skills.
  • A meticulous attention to details and being competent at working independently.
