We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Facilities Operations at our Foster City Campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Approve and oversee the timely closure of all Work Orders for Foster City (FC) Facility owned assets utilizing a Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Ensure all Work Orders meet GMP requirements and that these services are performed in a manner that is appreciated by all Gilead business partners
  • Oversee multiple vendors which perform contract work on equipment and facilities.
  • Provide leadership and/or expertise to the following Departments: Analytical Operations, EH&S, Process Chemistry, Project Management, FPD, R&D function and Engineering
  • Play a major role in the asset induction and maintaining equipment work orders.
  • Continuously improve the department by means of amending procedures, resource allocation and leveraging the CMMS
  • Troubleshoot major pieces of lab equipment (i.e. glasswashers, glass dryers, autoclaves & cold boxes)
  • Independently develop and modify Standard Operating Procedures
  • Assist Facilities admin staff with requested tasks
  • Provide lab equipment training as necessary
  • Maintain GMP trainings and qualifications
  • Proficient in Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and audit SME
  • Placing orders and tracking purchases through preferred vendor.


Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience working in a GMP/GLP capacity
  • Able to perform minor mechanical repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot machinery
  • Able to provide results in a lab setting that includes a fast-moving environment, changing priorities and constant added task
  • Must have the ability to operate within a Work Order system, Maximo is a plus
  • Have demonstrated the ability to independently create, route and close change control, deviations and CAPAs using Track Wise.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, MS Project
  • Knowledge of automation concepts and fundamentals. Allen Bradley, Lab Watch and Siemens experience is a plus but not required
  • Ability to lead and manage project teams, including directing field technicians and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and understand P&ID's, electrical & architectural drawings
  • Effectively communicates with peers and project teams, including engineers, project managers, technicians, and subcontractors.
