Job Overview
The Associate Director of Global Strategic Capabilities will be a key member of the Global Strategic Capabilities team that will lead the implementation and execution of key operational activities. The Associate Director is responsible for ensuring and supporting operational excellence of regional and global initiatives within the Medical Information function. One of the key responsibilities for this role is ensuring appropriate oversight and quality assurance of outsourced medical information activities in a region. In addition, the Associate Director will lead efforts to ensure inspection readiness, to measure operational effectiveness, and identifying and developing solutions to improve efficiencies and reduce risk.

Knowledge & Skills
- Able to work under minimal direction

- Demonstrated solid success in developing and maintaining good working relationships with internal colleagues and external contacts and influence cross-functionally at various levels.
- Ability to manage and lead multiple projects and change management initiatives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Must have a customer focused mindset, strong attention to detail, excellent organization and problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of applicable country/regional legislations and legal requirements for the provision of medical information services, and for adverse event and product quality complaint reporting, in the pharmaceutical environment is required
Education & Experience
- MS/MA and 8 years of relevant experience required
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 6 years of
experience in Medical Information or Medical Communications is required
- Advanced scientific or medical degree (MD, PhD, Pharmacy, RN or equivalent) is preferred
- Experience of working with medical information vendors is preferred.
