Staff Associate II

The Stockwell lab sits at the interface of chemistry and biology and is systematically using small molecules to discover mechanisms underlying cellular processes. To advance this research the Staff Associate II will be expected to oversee the lab’s mouse colony used in its experiments. Duties will include the following:

• Perform animal husbandry and Colony Management, including protocol administration and management – 30%

• Conduct animal model generation and validation – 25%

• Sample processing and data analysis – 25%

• Administer compounds and perform Animal behavioral assessment – 20%

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology) or related field. Prior experience working with mice is highly preferred, and understanding of biochemistry and basic biological wet lab techniques (PCR, western blot, cell culture, etc.) is required.
