A post-doctoral position is available in my laboratory to study immuno-regulatory pathways that control the innate and adaptive immune responses involved in the pathogenesis of allergic disease and asthma. This position will be focused on defining molecular and cellular mechanisms, integrate cutting edge molecular technologies with traditional cell & molecular biology based approaches. We are seeking highly motivated and collaborative individuals capable of independent reasoning and excited about learning new technologies. The candidates should have excellent writing and communication skills and familiar with techniques such as multi color flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA, RT-PCR, animal handling and preferably measuring airway hyperreactivity. This job is open only for recent graduate applicants with PhD or applicants that expect to graduate from PhD program soon. Applicants should have at least one or two immune related published articles preferably related to mucosal immunology and airway inflammation.

The laboratory is located in the recently built Norris Research Tower, Keck School of Medicine with full time access to excellent facilities in the department and University. The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment including flow cytometry analyzer, FACS and magnetic sorters and confocal microscopy. Both of USC’s primary campuses are located in the heart of Los Angeles, with easy access to LA Live, the city’s new sports and entertainment center, and downtown LA.  On campus you will find a vibrant academic, athletic and artistic culture that involves students, staff and faculty from across the university.
