Postdoctoral and research scientist positions are available in the new laboratory of Prof. Mikhail Nikiforov at the Departments of Pathology and Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, Durham, NC starting January 2022. We are interested in identification and pharmacological exploitation of metabolic vulnerabilities of cancer cells and mechanisms of drug resistance. The area of research includes functional characterization of novel metabolic targets in metastatic melanoma and/or mechanisms of progression and drug resistance in multiple myeloma. The successful candidate should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field and possess and extensive hands-on experience in basic biochemistry and molecular biology techniques, work with mice including various routes of drug delivery and biostatistics tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. We are looking for candidates interested in multidisciplinary research.
