2-3 postdoctoral research positions are available in Dr. Liu’s lab within the Department of Genetics, Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Birmingham University of Alabama.
Qualified candidates should have a PhD in cancer cell biology, immunology, biochemistry, and genetics. Individuals with experience in the analysis of animal models, targeted therapy, or flow cytometry are especially encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will explore regulatory mechanisms of transcription and translation in cancer, especially breast cancer and prostate cancer. The candidate must be able to work in a group/team environment while also being able to work independently. Strong communication skills are need for writing and presentation of research in a multi-disciplinary research environment.
