The Department of Biochemistry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and the Albert Einstein Cancer Center invite applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the broadly defined area of chemical biology. We seek creative applicants with bold vision and demonstrated excellence in research at the interface of Chemistry, Biology and Medicine, who bring their expertise to important problems in basic and translational sciences. We offer an exciting and collaborative academic work environment that includes diverse faculty with research interests spanning chemical biology, mechanistic enzymology, cancer biology, structural biology, pharmacology, cell biology, biochemistry, along with strong ties to clinical departments at Montefiore Medical Center.

Successful candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D., Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Chemical/Biological Engineering, or related academic disciplines. Applicants should send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, names of three references and a concise summary of research contributions and a well-articulated research plan (3-5 pages), as a single document, to Chemsearch@einsteinmed.org. Applicants should also arrange to have three letters of reference sent directly to this email address with Chemical Biology in the subject line. Letters of recommendation are not required for initial review but may be requested soon after. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.
