Position Summary: Atherosclerosis is the underlying cause of heart disease.  The laboratory directed by Chiara Giannarelli, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Cardiology, Department of Medicine and Associate Professor of Pathology at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine has pioneered single-cell studies on the immune landscape in atherosclerotic lesions in the arteries of patients. The Giannarelli laboratory is in the recently established Cardiovascular Research Program at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, which is recognized as one of the finest medical research institutions in the US. Active collaborations with other outstanding investigators at NYU are an integral part of our research projects, thereby expanding the training depth that the successful applicant will experience.

Job Responsibilities: The fellow will perform experiments in the areas of vascular biology, immunology, inflammation as related to human and mouse atherosclerosis.
