Postdoctoral Positions in Clinical DNA Adductomics
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
Cambridge, MA
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in Prof. Peter Dedon’s group at MIT to investigate tissue-, age-, and pathology-specific DNA modifications and damage products using state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based DNA adductomics. The project involves discovery, structural validation, and quantification of the full spectrum of DNA modifications and damage products in mouse, rat, and human tissues, using low- and high-resolution mass spectrometry and other technologies.
This project requires researchers with a Ph.D. in any relevant field of science with experience in the following areas:
• Chromatography-coupled mass spectrometry, targeted and untargeted
• Sample preparation for DNA purification and processing
• Multivariate statistics and other informatics tools for mining mass spec datasets and analyzing and visualizing data
It is desirable but not necessary to have experience with animal handling and tissue processing.
Interested candidates are asked to contact Pete Dedon at pcdedon@mit.edu and include a curriculum vitae and statement of research experience. The Dedon Lab website: dedon.mit.edu. Fellowship eligibility is desirable but not required.
