Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Scientist position in the group of Dr Ingo Greger to undertake research investigating signalling properties and nano-organisation of synaptic AMPA glutamate receptors using a combination of imaging and electrophysiology.

This project builds on our recent work (Watson J. et al., Elife 2017; Watson J. et al., Nat. Comms 2021; Zhang D. et al., Nature 2021; reviewed in Buonarati O. et al., Sci Signal 2019). Candidates should have a PhD and experience with brain slice electrophysiology and/or with super-resolution light microscopy. Experience with 2-photon microscopy would be greatly advantageous.

The successful applicant will be awarded a 2-year Career Development Fellowship/ Postdoctoral Training Scheme position. This is a training and development position for a Postdoctoral Scientist who has recently completed their doctoral studies, is moving into a new research discipline or has limited experience of key transferable skills.
