Research Professor

 CINVESTAV-IPN is a Mexican research Institution that comprises nine campuses with 28 research departments; of these, the Department of Cell Biology (www.cell.cinvestav.mx) is committed to research in modern cell biology, including areas such as signal transduction, gene transcription, cell-cell interaction and development, control of cell growth and division, cancer and its chemoprevention, biology of cytoskeleton, cell differentiation and stem cells, molecular microbiology and neural diseases. Our faculty is dedicated to quality in research and in teaching at the graduate and postgraduate levels.

The Department of Cell Biology is hiring a scientist who would start an independent research in the immunology field. Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. and should have done at least one postdoctoral stay of 3 or more years. They should have records of creativity and productivity, and a demonstrated potential for future achievements. They will be expected to develop productive and innovative research program, to obtain outside funding, and to participate actively in graduate training.

Applicants should submit a full curriculum vitae, a summary of current and proposed research, reprints of 3 key publications, and 3 letters of recommendation.

Candidates will be considered for recruitment at the professor level, according with their qualifications. We offer a competitive salary and access to apply for a National Government fellowship. We also offer a 100 m² laboratory space with basic equipment to begin research immediately. In addition, the successful applicant will have access to the Department equipment core facility, and Institutional resources including flow cytometry, advanced imaging, genomics, sequencing, electron microscopy, and mass spectrometry services.
