The fellow/scientist will use a broad range of approaches (genetic, cell biological and in vivo modeling) to understand how breast cancers, partiularly triple negative breast cancers, resist chemotherapy treatments and metastasize. The projects also examine how anoikis resistance and epithelial-mesenchymal transition contribute to the growth and metastases of triple negative breast cancers. The fellow will utilize patient-derived xenograft models of breast cancer and organoid cultures to screen and validate novel therapeutic strategies.
