Description
The Single Cell Spatial Analysis Program (SCSAP), as part of the $150 million, campus-wide Biosciences Initiative at the University of Michigan, is soliciting applications for tenure-track faculty positions (all ranks). The SCSAP is a highly integrative program that provides an intellectual foundation and research resources to enhance single-cell and spatial analyses to the University of Michigan community. Primary school and departmental affiliation(s) will be determined by the applicant’s research area and existing programs. We welcome applications for any area of spatial biology, including but not limited to: new technologies for high-content spatial analyses using sequencing- and/or imaging-based approaches, bioimaging informatics and computational algorithms for integrated spatial ‘omics analyses, or applications of innovative approaches to addressing basic or applied biomedical and/or public health challenges. Successful candidates will become integral members and future leaders in the Single Cell Spatial Analysis Program.
Qualifications
The candidate is expected to have a doctoral degree (PhD and/or MD) in a relevant scientific, medical, or engineering discipline; a strong commitment to teaching excellence and mentorship; the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines; and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in higher education.
Qualifications include a clear track record in the field of spatial analysis; an outstanding record of contributions to the field commensurate with rank; post-doctoral experience in an academic or other research setting; and evidence or strong potential of obtaining independent funding.
