The Department of Chemistry at Emory University invites applications for two tenure‐track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, open to all areas of chemistry but with an emphasis on the areas of experimental physical chemistry and chemical biology, broadly defined. Successful applicants will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to build and maintain a vibrant, externally‐funded independent research program, and to participate in faculty governance of the department and university. The appointees will join the department during an exciting period as we grow into new and renovated space in the Atwood Chemistry Center, refine our Chemistry Unbound undergraduate curriculum, and continue our Spectrum initiative to build an inclusive community among students, postdocs, staff, and faculty.
Please submit: (i) cover letter, (ii) curriculum vitae, (iii) one‐page summary of proposed research, (iv) detailed description of proposed research, (v) a teaching philosophy, (vi) a statement addressing past activities and future plans to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in your professional career, and (vii) contact information for three references via the Interfolio application portal: apply.interfolio.com/93242
Application review will begin on October 15; to ensure full consideration, all materials should be received by November 15.
