Research Associate (Postdoctoral)
Postdoctoral position available as part of a collaborative project in the labs of Drs. Beth Drolet and Hao Chang in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to investigate mechanisms of vascular anomalies during development. The goal of our work is to elucidate the pathogenesis and disease mechanisms of vascular anomalies using cell lines and mouse models. https://dermatology.wisc.edu/research/laboratory-research/
We are looking for highly motivated team players with a strong interest in developmental biology and genetics. Applicants should have a doctorate in biology or a related subject and strong expertise and publication record. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in mouse genetic models, histological analyses (immunostaining and confocal imaging), and transcriptome analysis (RNA-seq, single cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, etc.).
The primary responsibilities of the post-doctoral fellow will include planning, coordinating, and performing scientific experiments under the guidance of PI. Other Responsibilities are mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in research, participating in research seminars and professional development workshops, presenting research at regional and national research meetings, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
