Essential Functions:
  • Provide high quality technical support to the development and execution of microbiological methods such as Microbial Enumeration, Sterility, Endotoxin, Antimicrobial Effectiveness, Container Closure Integrity and non-routine microbiological assays
  • Responsible for oversight of internal development studies
  • Serve as a microbiology SME at internal meetings and/or meetings with outside laboratories or consultants.
  • Responsible for managing complex situations, while dealing with ambiguity


Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
  • BS with 10+ OR MS with 8+ years OR PhD with 0+ years of industry experience.
  • Hands on experience with standard microbiological techniques, including aseptic technique, bioburden testing, bacterial endotoxin testing and general microbiological techniques
  • In depth knowledge of the compendia methods (USP, EP, and JP) used for microbial testing
  • Experience in small molecule and oral solid dosage formulation preferred
  • Think independently while working in a team environment
  • Be detail oriented while understanding the big picture
  • Knowledge and experience in novel microbiological methods
  • Must be a critical and creative thinker in order to challenge the status quo
  • A strong desire to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment
