Technical Scientist or Senior Technical Scientist, RIKEN CSRS
Research Field and Overview
The mission of the CSRS Technology Platform Division is to provide not only the technology infrastructure for the promotion of center's research but also that for RIKEN's research. In particular, the Mass Spectrometry and Microscopy Unit has promoted joint research using integrated omics analysis such as plant metabolomics and imaging technology. In the future, this unit plans to develop plant phenome platform by promoting technological development of phenotyping analysis using imaging and data science for plant growth analysis under various environmental conditions. This advancement of the unit will contribute to plant science and biotechnology fields by phenotypic analysis technology. This unit will build an integrated omics analysis / data analysis platform that will contribute to the advancement of plant science and biotechnology, which have been the strong research fields of RIKEN.
Technical Scientist or Senior Technical Scientist: 1 position
The position at the time of hiring will be determined through the selection process.
In order to advance integrated omics analysis, the Technical Scientist in this position is expected to promote the development, operation, and research support of phenome analysis technology related to phenotypic imaging and data science for plant growth analysis under various environmental conditions. To build and operate the phenome analysis platform that integrates automation technology, imaging technology and data analysis technology for evaluating the growth of plants and crops under various environmental conditions. In addition, the Technical Scientist is expected to provide technical support for plant phenotyping, and build an integrated omics technology platform for the analysis of plant growth and the evaluation of crop productivity under various environmental conditions. These activities are expected to advance integrated omics and data science for RIKEN. The technical scientist is expected to contribute to the promotion of future research by providing novel omics technology, which is expected to contribute to new frontiers of research and development inside and outside of RIKEN.
