The successful candidate will be expected to develop an internationally-recognized, externally funded research program, develop and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, perform service at the School and University levels, and help advance the frontiers of knowledge with current and future faculty affiliated with the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. The candidate will have the ability to leverage and/or extend existing expertise in implantable and wearable sensors and actuators for collaborating with the largest neurosurgical group in the United States, Goodman Campbell Brain and Spine in Indianapolis, Indiana University School of Medicine, as well as a network of nearby hospitals for extraordinary clinical collaboration. Moreover, the candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with international renown colleagues and use state-of-the-art facilities in the Purdue Colleges of Engineering, Pharmacy, Science, Health and Human Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine.
