The EC Director will be responsible for building and maintaining this center, including developing national and international partnerships and collaborations, and assuring publication of high-quality, unbiased, and transparent evidence-based reviews.  The EC Director will also work collaboratively with Texas A&M Leadership to establish this center as a leading voice in developing consensus on standards of evidence and promoting public trust in science-informed policies and solutions.

The EC Director will lead philanthropic activities and serve as the public face of the Center with state, federal, and global organizations, and develop collaborative opportunities with other U.S. and international evidence organizations.  The EC Director will be capable of building sustainable relationships with experts across a wide variety of relevant disciplines in the Agri-Food-Health system.  The EC Director will also serve as a key liaison for participating in leadership committees in evidence and policy arenas, including with foundations and government.

The EC Director will represent the Center to Texas A&M university as well, including galvanizing faculty to participate as partners and topic experts, and overseeing the policies and practices of the Center to assure scientific integrity and reputation.  The EC Director will be responsible for the overall administration of center staff, budgets, and educational programs, which includes working with AgriLife leadership to establish strategic initiatives and programmatic priorities, and identifying funding sources for their implementation.
