The nationally recognized Ohio State University (OSU) Department of Microbiology is hiring a tenure-track faculty at the Assistant Professor level. Candidates with expertise in any area of microbiology are welcome and encouraged to apply. Research interests of our faculty include physiology, ecology, molecular biology, cell biology, pathogenesis, and microbiome science. Members of our unit lead or co-lead 3 of OSU’s 9 Multidisciplinary Research Centers - the Center for RNA Biology, Center of Microbiome Science, and Infectious Disease Institute. Several of our faculty have dual membership and affiliations with the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, the College of Medicine, the Translational Data Analytics Institute, the College of Engineering, among others. We also lead one of the inaugural 5 Biology Integration Institutes launched by the National Science Foundation. OSU Micro is a multidisciplinary, cutting-edge, and welcoming place to do exciting science. Qualifications:

Applicants should have a PhD in Microbiology or a related field. Appointment is contingent on the university’s verification of credentials and other information required by law and/or university policies, including but not limited to a criminal background check.
