Junior Faculty Position in Immunology

Penn State College of Medicine

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology of The Penn State College of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in immunology, with preference given for cancer and microbiome immunologists. Excellence and creativity in scholarship will be major criteria for selecting candidates for these positions. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with an interactive and highly collegial group of basic science and clinical investigators with expertise in immunology, virology, oncology, metabolomics, genomics, and drug discovery (

The College of Medicine being integrated with the M.S. Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State Cancer Institute facilitates translational research. We offer state-of-the-art core facilities in flow cytometry, imaging, and genomics, with a high-performance computing facility on site to support big data analytics. Our vivarium is undergoing a major expansion and will include BSL3 and germ-free animal facilities.

The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program, to participate in our graduate programs, and to contribute to teaching graduate and medical students.
