The Sukenik lab at the University of California, Merced is looking to hire multiple postdoctoral scholars interested in working at the interface of protein biophysics and cell biology. Projects will examine the interplay between the cellular environment and protein structure and function using cutting-edge technologies. The positions are funded by the NIH and NSF.
A successful candidate will conduct independent research in a supportive, collegiate, inclusive, and highly collaborative work environment. An integral part of the job involves mentoring a diverse cohort of graduate students and coordinating research with both national and international collaborators. Candidates from diverse backgrounds and/or with backgrounds in one or more of the following are especially encouraged to apply:
- Protein biophysics
- Work with yeast as a model organism
- Next-gen sequencing and analysis

This position is open to international applicants as well as citizens and permanent residents of the United States and Canada. We can sponsor individuals for a J-1 visa, if required.
