An Invitation to the Prospective Tenure-Track Faculty Candidates

The Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) has several tenure-track faculty positions. Hiring will be primarily at the assistant professor level, but exceptionally well-qualified candidates may also be considered at the associate professor and professor level.

We are honored that NUS Petroleum Engineering and Chemical Engineering are ranked as the world’s 1st and 3rd by QS Subject Ranking in 2021, respectively (https://news.nus.edu.sg/nus-ranked-top-10-globally-in-16-subjects/). We focus on addressing a mix of the classical and the modern aspects of chemical and biomolecular engineering, at all scales ranging from the molecular to the macroscopic to the global.

We seek exceptionally talented and passionate candidates to journey with NUS in shaping the future of chemical engineering research and education. We are particularly interested in the following expert domains:

  • Catalysis
  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
  • Chemical Engineering Sciences
  • Chemical Product Design – Advanced Materials and Formulations
  • Decarbonization and Hydrogen Economy

Candidates should have a PhD degree and postdoctoral experience in relevant fields. An ability to develop and maintain an internationally recognized and externally funded research program within area of expertise will be an added advantage. Faculty members will be expected to conduct multi-disciplinary research, teach existing undergraduate and graduate courses, and develop new and innovative programs.

Attractive start-up grants will be provided to facilitate the establishment of internationally competitive research programs.
