The Center for Computational and Integrative Biology at Massachusetts General Hospital invites outstanding scientists or physician-scientists for a tenure-track faculty position as Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School.  The ultimate appointing department will be determined based on best fit.  The faculty member will be offered a competitive startup package to build an independent research program in computational and systems biology, molecular and cell biology, or other fields that synergize with the current faculty’s research (https://ccib.mgh.harvard.edu/faculty_list). Successful candidates will engage in teaching students and fellows in the laboratory and/or classroom.

The goal of the Center for Computational and Integrative Biology is to foster interdisciplinary and quantitative research that answers enduring biological questions and provides insights into human disease. Faculty members develop and apply novel chemical, genomics and computational tools to probe signaling pathways, identify mediators of host-microbe interactions, understand and simulate the conditions associated with the emergence of life, and design therapeutic disease interventions. Center members have access to world-class research facilities located within Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Broad Institute.

Appointment as an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. Suitable candidates will hold a PhD, MD-PhD, or MD degree.

Interested candidates should send their cover letter, current curriculum vitae, and proposed research plan to facultysearch@ccib.mgh.harvard.edu.  Candidates are responsible for having three letters of recommendation sent directly by three referees.  Complete application packages will be accepted through November 1, 2021.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy and pregnancy-related conditions or any other characteristic protected by law.
