Tenure Track Positions in Basic Science Research in the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM)
The Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania specifically seeks highly qualified candidates with a demonstrated track record and commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion for several faculty positions in the tenure track at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Academic rank will be commensurate with credentials and experience. Applicants must have an MD and/or PhD degree and demonstrated excellence and accomplishments in research.
Successful candidates will be in multiple broad areas of cutting-edge basic science research area, including but not limited to biochemistry, biophysics, biostatistics and informatics, cancer biology, cardiovascular biology, cell biology, developmental biology, epidemiology, epigenetics, genetics, genomics, immunology, microbiology, neuroscience, pharmacology, physiology, reproductive biology, and virology. Interdisciplinary scientists will receive special consideration.
Successful candidates are expected to develop independent, federally funded research programs, and express a strong commitment to the graduate and medical education missions of the Perelman School of Medicine. Responsibilities include a combination of research, teaching, and training of our medical and graduate students.
The faculty appointment will be in a department in the School of Medicine that is consistent with the scientific expertise of the successful candidate.
