Position Description

The Department of Biology in the College of Arts & Sciences (www.baylor.edu/artsandsciences/) seeks an outstanding scientist who will establish a research program in human diseases focused on cancer and/or immunology.

This position is a 10-month academic year appointment that includes a competitive salary and start-up package. Summer salary is expected to be paid from grants. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

Applicants should demonstrate evidence of significant research experience supported by an excellent publication record and current grant funding. Faculty are expected to maintain a vibrant and externally-funded research program with a record of refereed publications in high quality journals; contribute strongly to research; collaborate with faculty at the University; mentor and support graduate students; integrate undergraduates into research; and teach at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Service to the University, community, and profession is also expected.
