A post-doctoral researcher position is available in the College of Pharmacy at the Ohio State University to study novel endocrine disease mechanisms in hepatocellular carcinoma and pre-cancerous liver disease. Highly motivated candidates with a recent Ph.D. in any field of biological/biomedical sciences are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will join a large research group and be expected to develop and lead new independent research projects in the areas of liver disease biology and drug discovery and development. Applicants interested in an independent academic research career are especially encouraged to apply. Experience with nuclear hormone receptors, eukaryotic transcription, mRNA splicing, pharmacology and bioinformatics are encouraged but not essential. Similarly, experience with mouse models is not required but the successful candidate will exhibit a willingness to perform animal research.
