ROLE SUMMARY

Senior scientist with broad scientific knowledge of antibody generation, protein purification and cell culture/cell banking to join the Operations Group as the Critical Reagent Analytical Lifecycle Lead, will contribute to the reagent characterization efforts across groups lines that support the development of monoclonal antibodies, gene therapies and vaccines and out commercial stake holders.

We are seeking a candidate to join us in building capabilities to lead the industry in the advancement of products to the market through innovation and execution of analytical testing. This position will provide leadership and contribute to oversight of working team members across partner lines will also provide technical counsel to other scientists, organizations, and senior leadership. Critical reagents support the analytical test methods and confirm suitable quality of clinical supplies in a broad biologics' portfolio.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate the generation and characterization of critical bioanalytical reagents with internal and external partners.
  • Provide oversight of critical reagent strategy and road map and ensure that the quality of critical reagents used in cell-based and immunoassays to support a diverse portfolio in varying stages of clinical development.
  • Facilitate reagent lifecycle during drug development, ensuring that adequate reagent supplies are available to support bioanalytical studies.
  • Provide technical expertise and scientific oversight for the generation and characterization reagents; review technical reports and assist with troubleshooting and problem solving, as needed.
  • Partner and collaborate actively with cross-functional teams to discuss and remediate issues pertaining to critical reagents.
  • Collaborate and mentor colleagues on scientific and strategic directions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.


Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • PhD with 0+ years of significant, relevant experience
  • M.S. with 7+ years of significant, relevant experience
  • B.S. with 9+ years of significant, relevant experience
  • Excellent verbal presentation skills and outstanding leader behaviors
  • Experience in biotech drug development including creation and lifecycle management of critical reagents used in analytical testing
  • Experience in cGMP labs including delivery of integrated solutions in regulatory environments.
  • Ability to work closely with Pfizer internal & external partners.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in polyclonal and monoclonal antibody generation and characterization.
  • Experience in working with external vendors/ CROs
  • Demonstrated expertise in the development of bioassay and potential impact of critical reagents in these methodologies
  • Have a general knowledge of regulatory guidelines pertaining to reagent qualification


NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Occasional work outside business hours to accommodate other Pfizer sites and partners.
  • Up to 10% travel to Pharm Sci BTx & PGS sites (possible international travel)
