ROLE SUMMARY

This position will serve as a principal Analytics & Reporting Senior Manager within Worldwide Medical and Safety. The Sr. Manager will implement complex analytics, enhance reporting capabilities and formulate recommended strategies to maximize effectiveness, accuracy and efficiency of processes and systems. This role requires working in the matrix and close collaboration with Business Process Owners, Digital, and our global stakeholders to leverage, identify, and develop efficient and sustainable innovative solutions to drive business goals, while ensuring data accuracy, integrity and comprehensiveness.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze data and produce information which is the foundation for business intelligence for our stakeholders; design reporting of data that is of high strategic and tactical value.
  • Conduct and lead the reporting and analytics function of grant information for the Global Grants group within the Medical Division; be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for day to day operations in this area and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead the reporting design, presentation and quality initiatives for grants data. Work as a strategic partner with the global grants team to analyze data on cycle times and other operational metrics in order to produce actionable customer insights that are of strategic and tactical value for stakeholders
  • Lead the A&R function in support of the Expanded Access group, supporting both the EA team and the BU medical colleagues teams working in support of the EA program.
  • Demonstrate expertise and partner with functional groups to ensure reporting requirements are identified, designed, and distributed appropriately, while highlighting and interpreting issues, trends, and variances within the data
  • Lead initiatives that anticipate customers' urgent requests and other business needs and deliver business information to key stakeholders that give the ability to avoid crises, be ahead of trends, and implement solutions that optimize business benefit and minimize business risk.
  • Lead revisions to the data management and categorization plans (for various data sources such as Oracle databases, dashboard visualization software, process tracking systems, web traffic databases, etc.) to ensure the generation of business, operational and quality monitoring metrics for one or more functional areas.
  • Identify business requirements and implement systems solutions that streamline and/or re-engineer processes and automate operations.
  • Lead and manage projects to improve usability, consistency, relevance, timeliness, and responsiveness of current technologies.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from Audit & Compliance and Legal departments.
  • Provide technical expertise to our team around reporting databases relating to several functional areas
  • Demonstrate expertise and guide functional groups to ensure reporting requirements are identified, designed, and distributed appropriately, highlighting and interpreting issues, trends, and variances within the data.
  • Provide functional team leaders with the appropriate data for review and analysis.
  • Use expertise to direct system support and data table maintenance as required


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree strongly preferred
  • At least ten years' experience with the pharmaceutical business, information systems and database analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, development of data visualizations, and use of industry-recognized business intelligence tools
  • Experience with call center processes and data
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, database structuring and data mining
  • Experience in combining data from various sources together to produce cross-functional analytics, including clinical trial data
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical skills in assessing business processes, systems, and information flows, as well as compiling and assessing data
  • Customer-oriented focus and ability to work in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with various reporting platforms including Business Objects and Spotfire; experience with Oracle database technologies is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with advanced features of Microsoft Excel, including VLookup, pivot tables, charting, etc.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualification in Project Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrated business acumen and solid understanding of the business processes of Worldwide Medical
  • System fluency on relevant Pfizer information systems utilized by Worldwide Medical
  • Familiarity with natural language processing, Machine learning, conceptual modelling, statistical analysis, predictive modelling, and hypothesis testing.
