    ROLE SUMMARY

    • Senior Manager, Information Management will be responsible for leading and supporting strategic initiatives within CoE to improve site and patient experiences and operational efficiencies of site-facing systems and systems enabled processes.
    • Provide expertise for escalations of operational services outsourced by Information Management (e.g., Tier 1 services, quality management, data management, study start up, electronic data, etc.).
    • Act as an SME across Global Product Development in appropriate technologies and process initiatives.
    • Liaise with customer and Digital organizations ensuring alignment and Operational/SME support.
    • Expand the visibility of Information Management across Pfizer.
    • This role demands the ability to work both autonomously on assigned work items, as well as being a member of a strongly interactive team.
    • Skill set of potential candidates must include demonstrated experience in technology implementation, process development, communication, and vendor oversight.


    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

    Program Oversight
    • Serve as the IM Lead, Subject Matter Expert, or System Owner on any system or program team within the remit of the Site Solutions Team.


    Technology Implementation
    • This role will be accountable to coordinate, oversee, and take action on technology implementation activities, training, support, and performance of vendors and their applications


    Process and Standards
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiencies through process and metrics analysis
    • Promote the use of consistent, efficient, and quality processes to meet timelines and deliverables


    System Oversight
    • Establish, maintain and communicate system oversight metrics
    • Lead and manage system development activities (requirements gathering, change control, release management, and UAT coordination) as applicable


    Vendor Oversight
    • Coordinate and oversee vendors across various needs (e.g., Tier 1 services, quality management, data management, study start up, electronic data, etc)
    • Define scope of outsourced work and establish work instructions / task ownership matrices / escalation paths / SLAs for vendors providing services to GPD
    • Establish oversight plans and metrics associated with outsources services partnering with COE IM services


    Customer Outreach
    • Plan and execute communication plans & methods for engaging customer populations (e.g., newsletters, websites, user groups).
    • Interface with customers on solutions, requirements, continuous improvement, deployment change management, user groups and workshops, etc.
    • Understand customers and stakeholders and ensure they are satisfied with support services and systems.


    Qualifications

    Must-Have
    • Bachelor's Degree in a scientific, technology and/or business discipline, with working experience within clinical trials.
    • 10+ years of experience.
    • Experience/knowledgeable in study optimization, Monitoring/Study management, study startup, EDC, investigator payments, and clinical trial participant experiences.
    • Technical expertise and business process support in technology systems.
    • Thorough understanding of the processes associated with clinical study management, data management, and regulatory operations.
    • Demonstrated project management skills (multiple complex projects).
    • Project management, administrative, and technical capabilities are required, as well as effective verbal and written communication skills in relating to colleagues and associates both inside and outside the organization.
    • Ability to manage multiple contacts and relationships at various levels throughout the organization.
    • Experience with business process re-engineering and implementation planning is required.
    • Team player with good oral and written communication skills, with the ability to self-motivate on assigned sub-projects as required.
    • Talent for training/presentation also required.
    • Self-starter who is able to work independently and willing to provide original thinking.
    • Adaptable and able to work with study teams with disparate levels of technical experience.
    • Understanding of current technology and how it could be used to facilitate growth toward overall corporate goals.

    • Experience with Agile methodology for software development.
