Job Details

The laboratory of Dr. J. Kevin Foskett has immediate openings for motivated individuals to fill NIH-funded postdoctoral position. We study the biophysics and physiology of IP3R Ca2+-release channels, the mitochondrial Ca2+ uniporter and CALHM ion channels and their roles in physiology, including bioenergetics, cancer, neurodegeneration and sensory perception (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/myncbi/j. kevin.foskett.1/bibliography/40983577/public/?sort=date&direction=descending).

Ph.D. and relevant research experience required. Desired skills include patch-clamp electrophysiology, quantitative microscopy, molecular biology, structural biology approaches, and experience with transgenic mice. Candidates will perform experiments, manage projects, train and supervise students, publish papers, and assist with preparing grants. Individuals will receive mentoring and develop new skills.
