Position Summary
The Department of Molecular & Cellular Biology is seeking a Research Associate I to study the role of microRNAs in T cell immunity. Experiments will involve classical molecular biology and biochemical techniques, gene expression profiling, genetic manipulation in mice and cell culture assays. The successful candidate is a self-starter, who enjoys working in a fast-paced and scientifically stimulating environment.
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field.
- 0-2 years of research/laboratory experience.
- Strong background in molecular and/or cellular biology techniques
- Meticulous attention to detail, proficient reasoning skills in experimental design, data analysis and interpretation
- Independence, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a team environment are essential
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
