ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The primary purpose of the Research Investigator is to assist the Principal Investigator and other Faculty members with scientific research projects. Learns and adapts techniques for use in experiments, plans and assists training and research work activity for research personnel. Supervises use of laboratory equipment, implements safety procedures, maintains records, compiles, manage and maintain laboratory, ordering and maintaining supplies, equipment, media, reagents, etc., manages animal experiment protocol of the lab, writes and submits project results to superiors. He/she will participate in the effectiveness of radiation therapy on the most common form of cancer in pre-clinic and clinic studies. He/she will be involved in biology, epidemiology, genomics of cancer, radiation oncology and biomarker research.


MARGINAL OR PERIODIC FUNCTIONS:
He/she will develop hypothesis and experimental planning. Review of relevant literature. Conduct correlation of cytokines with image-guided glycolysis in modulation of radiation-induced cardiopulmonary toxicities. Input the data and provide statistical analysis. Assist in writing of scientific papers for publication, grant applications and presentations at scientific meetings.

Education
Required
: Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.

Preferred: PhD, MD degree in radiation oncology, radiology, biomedical sciences or related field

Experience
Required
: Five years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, three years of required experience .

Preferred: Previous experience working with Radiation Oncology and Radiation Treatment Planning
