  • The Analytical Scientist will provide key support for a variety of industrial adhesives and functional coating materials for R&D innovation programs, resolving production, manufacturing issues and customer complaints.
  • Analysis of industry adhesives and functional coating products using modern chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Sample preparation and instrumental analysis for quantitative and qualitative compositional analysis.
  • Design and carry out experimental plans and procedures without day-to-day supervision.
  • Maintain high quality data in a fast pace environment, prepare clear analytical reports, method SOP, and instrument calibration, maintenance and trouble shooting.
  • Execute day to day laboratory activities in support of R&D projects through active customer interaction.
  • Follow lab quality control and quality assurance practice and ensure staff safety by identifying hazards, training lab personnel, and maintaining all SHE guidelines. Maintains lab space at 5S Level 3 and champions the 5S process.
  • Ph.D. is preferred, Bachelor's degree or Masters in Analytical Chemistry, or related Chemistry field, with significant industry experience will be considered.
  • Extensive hand-on experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis with modern chromatography, mass spectrometry and spectroscopic techniques.
  • Familiarly with analytical method development and validation, QA/QC and LIMS.
  • Good familiarity in sample preparation, extraction, and purification techniques.
  • Knowledge on other analytical techniques such as NMR, IR, microscopy, and wet chemistry is preferred.
  • Effective customer communication and interpersonal skills as a team player.
  • Established safe laboratory skills and exceptional aptitude for detail, including accurate record keeping.
