Job Details

The Research Assistant I in Radiation Oncology-Research will work closely with faculty, trainees, staff and collaborators to provide support for Dr. Chung's lab projects by organizing, collecting, recording and maintaining imaging data in an accurate and timely manner. The Research Assistant I will also develop algorithms (coding) for data modeling, analysis and visualization in Dr. Chung's lab.

KEY FUNCTIONS

1. Collaborate with faculty, trainees and staff in Radiation Oncology and other departments to conduct clinical and/or non-clinical research projects, including but not limited to human subjects and imaging research.
2. Complete protocol/project-specific tasks, which may include collecting, organizing and processing imaging data.
3. Maintain accurate, detailed records and experimental data.
4. Develops (or assists as needed) and maintains detailed project plans and documentation of data for the organization of the lab.
5. Assists with the curation and cleaning of clinical and imaging data for the development of computational and machine learning models.
6. Assists with the development of algorithms (coding) for data modeling, analysis and visualization.
7. Communicates clearly in oral and written communications and face-to-face encounters with institutional and external collaborators using appropriate terminology (i.e. medical) as needed.
8. Assists in the preparation of information and reports for project PI as requested.
9. Assist in the preparation of data used for progress reports, manuscripts, presentations and abstracts by cleaning and entering data in data management programs in a timely fashion.
10. Attends and participates in departmental activities and initiatives.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
