TENURE TRACK FACULTY POSITION

The Tow Center for Developmental Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, MSK Kids, Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program, and Sloan Kettering Institute are seeking innovative scientists who wish to address problems of fundamental importance to the biology of cancers that affect children and young adults for tenure-track positions at the Assistant and Associate (Professor) Member levels.

The Tow Center for Developmental Oncology unites basic and translational scientists across MSK to develop fundamental insights into the molecular mechanisms of cancers in children and young adults. Our ultimate goal is to make fundamental biological discoveries to develop definitive treatments for patients. Faculty will be eligible to hold graduate school appointments in the Gerstner Sloan Kettering Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, the Weill Graduate School of Medical Sciences of Cornell University, as well as the Tri-Institutional MD/PhD Training Program.

MSK offers a unique and exciting research environment with both basic and applied science programs in Immunology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Computational Biology, Genetics, Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Cell Biochemistry and Structural Biology. The presence of world-renowned clinical programs in cancer research, treatment and prevention offers unique opportunities for creative collaboration. Direct integration with MSK Kids and multiple translational programs enables rapid development of improved therapies for patients.

Scientists should have a PhD and/or MD degrees, post-doctoral research experience, and dedication to important problems at the interface of biology and medicine, as they relate to cancers that affect children or young adults.

Interested candidates should visit https://www.mskcc.org/research-programs/developmental-oncology to learn about our mission. Inquiries may be sent Dr. Alex Kentsis, Director, Tow Center for Developmental Oncology at devonc@mskcc.org.
