Res Post Doc Fellow -Cardiology Research

Job Summary

A position is available on a NIH/NHLBI sponsored project in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Levy, Director of Cardiology Research at CHOP. The focus of the program is research on the mechanisms responsible for progression of heart valve disorders.  PhD; MD; MD-PhD Candidates with both an interest and experience in basic cardiovascular research should apply. Applicants with specific expertise in such fields as cell and molecular biology, biomaterials, bioengineering, immunology, pharmaceutics, and pharmacology are strongly encouraged to apply. The job specific responsibilities are:

  • Conducting independent scholarly research and develop new methods and protocols
  • Participation in project planning, recording and evaluation of data
  • Demonstrate technical, lab management and grant writing skills
  • Participate in seminars, lectures, poster sessions and presentation at national meetings
  • Supervise junior lab members
  • Assist with related research projects as directed

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations

Required Education and Experience

  • A terminal degree PhD, MD, DVM, etc.
  • According to the CMS (Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services) a copy of diploma or transcript is required as proof of academic achievement for all non-laboratory personnel performing non-waived POC testing

Preferred Education, Experience & Cert/Lic

Additional Technical Requirements
