What You Will Achieve

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist to join the Molecular Assessment and Profiling group in BioMedicine Design at Pfizer. This individual will provide critical analytical support for RNA vaccine optimization in discovery research and development using a suite of established methods including ddPCR, RP-UPLC, CGE and DLS. Successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to team's deliverables.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Characterize and assess RNA and RNA LNP/PLX integrity and stability using a suite of established assays
  • Analyze experiment data with manager guidance and present results to project research teams
  • Provide proper experiment documentations in electronic notebook
  • Participate in experiment design and automation process to improve workflow efficiency


Qualifications

Must-Have

  • BA with 2-3 years or MS with 1-2 years of relevant experience in molecular biology and/or biochemistry
  • Knowledgeable with RNA and DNA biology and/or stability
  • Basic understanding with various nucleic acid characterization methods and techniques such as ddPCR, CGE (TapeStation or FA), RP-HPLC and DLS
  • Capable of completing experiments with limited supervision once trained
  • Working experience with using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills
  • Detail oriented and highly organized


Nice-to-Have

  • Working experience in RNA vaccine discovery including LNP/PLX characterization
  • Knowledgeable with automation
  • 1-2 years industry experiences
