What You Will Achieve

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate Scientist, at the BS or MS level, to work in the area of Oncology and Rare Diseases. This position is responsible for supporting in-house and contracted toxicology studies. The candidate will monitor studies and provide oversight as needed.The candidate will also contribute to scientific decisions with the New Target Discovery Team. The ideal candidate will be able to act independently and collaboratively, with additional responsibilities including project team attendance.

How You Will Achieve It

Conduct In-house Routine Research in Toxicology and Safety Pharmacology
  • Contribute to the design and execution of in-house non-GLP toxicology studies
  • Collect, analyze and interpret In vivo data
  • Conduct QC of data/documents through IND filings
  • Keep overall corporate strategy/objectives aligned with role

Monitor IND-enabling GLP Toxicology Studies
  • Support toxicology team in nonclinical regulatory submissions
  • Review eCTD documents for reg filings and QC eCTD docs from other authors
  • Monitor and provide study oversight
  • Maintain excellent communication skills necessary with research partners

Scientific Knowledge
  • Develop an awareness of scientific and regulatory literature relevant to our programs
  • Contribute technical knowledge, where applicable to the new target project teams
  • Present scientific data at national scientific and pharmaceutical industry meetings

  • BA/BS in toxicology, physiology or related scientific field with minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience or MS in toxicology, physiology or related scientific field with relevant industry experience
  • In vivo rodent experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Statistical analysis skills

Physical/Mental Requirements
  • Work requires some exertion and dexterity such as standing, lifting light objects, and handling small rodents in the vivarium.

Non-Standard Work Schedule, Travel, Or Environment Requirements
  • Must be willing and able to work after hours as needed to ensure study integrity.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $58,600 to $97,600 . In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 7.5 % of the base salary. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
