Postdoctoral Fellow in Bio-Sensors – Georgia Tech & Emory

The Sensors for Living Systems Lab (SL2) led by Dr. David Myers is a fun-loving, hard-working group of engineers and biomedical researchers who work closely with clinical colleagues on significant and innovative technologies. We develop new ways to measure biological systems for basic biomedical and clinical research. In addition to providing exceptional benefits and competitive pay, our lab provides an intellectually stimulating environment that fosters personal growth.

We have an immediate need for an individual with a microsystems background and an interest in developing a novel pressure sensor to detect shunt failure in patients with hydrocephalus. Our innovative team includes neurosurgeons, experts in ultrasound, and biomedical engineers. In addition to gaining skills useful for a faculty career, this position could also transition into a startup opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Engineering (ME, EE, BioE, BME, ChemE) and experience with microsystems design, packaging design, sensors design, and/or rapid prototyping (3d printing, laser cutting, etc.).
