In this laboratory-based position, you will support early drug discovery projects with a focus on developing new experimental approaches to interrogate the pharmacology of novel modulators of the immune response. The selected candidate will be expected to collaborate with other team members to design and perform experimental studies to support the advancement of our autoimmune and inflammatory disease projects. Basic Qualifications: MS degree in Immunology or BS degree with 3+ years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience in Immunology, Pharmacology, or Cellular or Molecular Biology. 1 years' experience in animal models of autoimmunity (RA, IBD, MS, Type I diabetes, Lupus) and humanized mice models of inflammation. 1 years' experience in cell-based assay skills including primary cell culture, immune cell isolation from blood and tissue, and other functional ex-vivo cell-based assays (e.g. Innate cell biology) Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Demonstrated record of scientific accomplishment through publications or patents. Strong understanding of cellular and molecular biology techniques and flexibility to adopt new technologies. Experience with animal models of inflammatory disease, primary cell culture, CRISPR, and multi-color flow cytometry. Independent, self-starting and supportive of team-based research. Previous experience in biotech and/or pharmaceutical drug discovery Strong understanding of drug discovery processes, including small/large molecule development. Ability to design and troubleshoot experiments to deliver results in a timely fashion. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain attention to detail and high-performance standards.
