This position provides administrative leadership of the Assessment, Intervention and Measurement (AIM) Shared Resource, including supervising research teams, fiscal management, managing client services, preparing reports and assisting faculty.

Develop strategic plans for the shared resource and evaluate progress. Conceive and develop strategies to support the shared resource. Champion a cohesive and collaborative working group with high efficiency and effectiveness. Update and oversee implementation of the shared resource's policies and procedures and assure that institutional policies and procedures are followed. Facilitate the implementation of shared resource activities by managing personnel and work flows to meet faculty and staff research needs. Facilitates shared resource activities including development and maintenance of systems. Prepare reports relating status of support and updating achievements of the program members. Develop new research administration processes as needed to effectively link and leverage existing processes within units in order to reduce administrative barriers. Develop, manage and maintain relationships with departments, sections and divisions within the institution and within the University of Texas system. Collaborate directly with the shared resource Director and co-Director, providing timely reports and updates, consultation and programmatic support.

Financial/Grant Management Oversee financial management for the shared resource, including core grant budgets, service billing and purchases. Prepares and monitors annual program budget, including preparation of budget requests and monthly accounting of expenses. Assumes responsibility for cost data preparation, analysis, systems analysis, and other fiscal related duties. Responsible for negotiating services and resources in support of the shared resource. Prepare financial and research reports for CCSG core grant reviews. Writes grants, manuscripts, presentations, and protocols as needed.

Operations management Manages staff, personnel issues, monitors staff workflow, and manages resources. Provides training and professional development opportunities for staff. Ensures effective utilization of personnel and space. Consults with investigators throughout institution and within UT system to identify needs for assistance from the shared resource and develop estimates for service proposals. Manages research studies contracted to the shared resource and reports on status to investigator and core director. Oversees purchasing, tracking mechanisms, data quality, study integrity and regulatory compliance.
Directs ongoing operations to market the shared resource, including developing effective communication strategies such as websites and email lists to foster collaboration with faculty and staff within and outside the institution. Directs the development and marketing of research support services offered by the shared resource. Represents the shared resource in public settings and in presentations. Oversees special events. Develops metrics to monitor progress. Build capability to efficiently, effectively and periodically report on these metrics.

All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree.

Preferred: Master's degree.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Five years of related program management experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.

Preferred: Experience or understanding budgeting, grant account management/oversight; someone with background/experience in human subjects/clinical research. Experience with scientific program management.
