A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the laboratory of Kevin Legge Ph.D. in the Department of Pathology, University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. The Legge laboratory is focused upon immune response (e.g., CD8 T cell, CD4 T cells, dendritic cells (DC), and B cell) to pulmonary viral infections and after vaccinations. Applicants should have a strong background in immunology, flow cytometry, as well as experience in rodent models. The selected candidate will be expected to work independently while interacting in a collaborative environment.

Education Requirement:

PhD, MD/PhD or MD with significant bench research experience.

Required Qualifications:

Excellent writing and communication skills in English.

Experience working with mice.

Research experience in immunology or virology.

Experience in designing experiments, gathering and recording data, and presenting of results. Demonstrated ability to work independently.

Desirable Qualifications:

Proficient in multi-color flow cytometry techniques.

Experience in cellular molecular biology and sterile tissue culture.
