POSITION SUMMARY:
A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately for a highly motivated candidate to study gene regulation, tick-mammal transmission, host-pathogen interactions, and protein structure-function in Borrelia burgdorferi, the Lyme disease spirochete. The position offers an excellent training opportunity to conduct research in an attractive, dynamic research environment with outstanding resources.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or MD. Ph.D. in a related field from an accredited institution and appropriate experience and training within a selected are of specialization.  Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Postdoctoral Fellow.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited university. 
• A background in bacterial genetics and molecular biology will be given preference.
• Experience in spirochetology, animal models, and/or tick biology is a plus.
