The Advanced Materials and Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University (KSU) encourages applications from outstanding scientists at the Associate or Full Professor levels with established research programs in experimental advanced materials and/or at the interfaces with soft matter science, broadly defined. Areas of interest may include nanomaterials, biomaterials, polymers, liquid crystals, responsive and adaptive materials and/or any combination thereof. The successful candidate will have a PhD and demonstrate a strong record of research supported by extramural funding, a commitment to work with diverse populations, and will become a member of a larger Kent State Research Community which includes the Departments of Chemistry & Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, and Physics as well as the Brain Health Research Institute and Design Innovation.  Collaborative and highly interdisciplinary research agendas will be viewed as particularly attractive assets for candidates applying for this position.
